Sedation Options
Unconscious Sedation – $700 Extra
Also known as IV-Sedation or Sleep Dentistry, is an option that about 10% of our patients take up. This form of anesthesia can be used to make the surgery more comfortable and less stressful for patients. Our in-house doctor supports our patients who would otherwise experience anxiety, pain or distress when undergoing dental procedures. The medical doctor stays with you throughout your entire procedure, ensuring you are comfortable, safe, and relaxed. There is additional costs for IV Sedation which is a $700 cost
Oral Sedation – Low Cost Option
About 30% of our patients take up this option of having an oral sedation. This is a low cost option for patients who feel uncomfortable or need emergency help. This involves taking an anti-anxiety pill about an hour before your dental appointment begins. You will still be awake and able to respond to the dentist if they ask you any questions. Our patients typically report feeling drowsy, carefree and generally “out of it”. Our younger patients find to be a good option as this may be the first major dental work they have ever experenced.
